Ukraine May Introduce Visa Regime With Russia

The Ukrainian Parliament already at this plenary week may adopt a resolution on the introduction of a visa regime with Russia.

This was stated on the sidelines of the parliament by head of the Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information Policy Victoria Syumar.

She said that the relevant resolution has been approved by the Parliament Committee for Foreign Affairs. However, the MP said that the procedure for introducing a visa mechanism can take up to six months.

We need to stand with our people till the end, and we will do this

Victoria Syumar believes that, as of now, “it is an appropriate response.” “If Russia will cease to be an authoritarian terrorist state, then we can say that this can be changed, we can vary the relationship. As of right now we are actually in a state of war … We need to stand with our people till the end, and we will do this”, – said Syumar.

MP believes that right now there are quite high chances that the resolution on the introduction of a visa regime with Russia will be adopted by the Ukrainian Parliament.
